RP Financial Expands Management Studies Services

Particularly Designed for Banking Companies Subject to Regulatory Enforcement Actions

August 31, 2010 – RP® Financial, LC. (“RP Financial” or “RP®”), a bank consulting firm serving financial institutions nationwide, has expanded its Management Studies services due to increased demand. This expanded scope of services is particularly for banking companies that are subject to regulatory enforcement actions for whom the regulators require third party management studies to be conducted for their approval and then implemented by the Boards of Directors.

As a result of the recent banking crisis, many banking companies have become subject to regulatory enforcement actions. A key requirement of many such regulatory enforcement actions has been the engagement of a qualified third party to: (1) conduct an evaluation of the management needs given the current size, risk profile and financial characteristics of the banking company; (2) evaluate the current directors, management and key personnel in terms of their qualifications, suitability and effectiveness to restore the bank to a safe and sound condition; (3) assess compensation levels and the components of compensation for directors, executive management and key personnel; and (4) make strategic recommendations in view of the foregoing analyses.

Over the last 31 years, the senior staff of RP Financial has gained considerable experience working with executive management and Boards in organizational matters in connection with strategic planning, merger and capital transactions and regulatory enforcement actions. In addition, RP® has prepared numerous management studies for banking companies, not only for those subject to enforcement actions, but also for those seeking to implement organizational changes and/or different strategies going forward. RP®’s management studies have been accepted by the banking agencies and successfully implemented by Boards of Directors.
